William L. "Bill" Walz, Jr.
Garden City- William L. " Bill" Walz, Jr., 79, died April 29, 2007 at Candler Hospital.
The Savannah native was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was retired from the Seaboard Coastline/CSX Railroad and was a member of the Thunderbolt Masonic Lodge #693 F & AM and the German Friendly Society. He was also a member of the Garden City Senior Citizens, where he had volunteered for many years.
Survivors: a daughter, Charlotte Ann Walz Lee of Garden City; a son, Paul G. Walz of Richmond Hill; a sister, Margaret "Betty" Walz Smith of Savannha; his loving companion, Dorothy Driggers of Garden City; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces; and a nephew.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Hillcrest West
Remembrances: Central Baptist Church, 4010 Old Louisville Rd, Garden City, GA 31408.
