IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William F.
"Bill" Williams
December 21, 2024
William (Bill) F. Williams passed away on the evening of December 21, 2024. Bill was born in Meldrim, Georgia, on May 4, 1941.
After graduating from Effingham County High School, Bill joined the United States Marine Corps to serve his country. Following his service in the Marines, he continued his dedication to the nation by enlisting in the United States Army Reserve. During this time, Bill began a career in life insurance.
In 1975, Bill met the love of his life, Annette Bolen Young. Annette was a widow with four small children, aged 1, 3, 5, and 7. Their love story began with Bill taking Annette and her children to church and lunch at Shoney's every week. During their courtship, Bill shared with his mother and his daughter, Gina, that he had always dreamed of having a large family. Gina, who had been praying for a sibling, saw her prayers answered just six months later. On May 7, 1976, she gained two brothers and two sisters.
To spend more time with his newly blended family, Bill and Annette started the Bill Williams Insurance Agency. Over the years, they expanded their ventures, founding Bill Williams Realty, A Insurance Network, and Coffee Break Biz.
Bill and Annette shared a 48-year love story filled with partnership, music, and dancing. Together, they raised five children, embracing a family rule that banned the word "step" when referring to parents or siblings.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Melba Hopper Williams and Ernest F. Williams.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife: Annette Williams; beloved children: Gina Hardy (spouse David), Eleanor Boyles (spouse Gary), Pam Gale (spouse Timmy), Johnny Young, Jr. (spouse Stephanie), and Travis Young (spouse Sarah); his cherished grandchildren: Rachel Pedersen (spouse Garrett), Robert Schwitzgebel, Jennifer Smith, Tyler Smith, Madison Smith, Tyler Gale, Zack Gale, Hannah Gale, Johnny Young III, Travis Young, Jr. (spouse Kalie), Wesley Young; and treasured great grandchildren: Travis (Trip) Young III, Canaan Young, Ridge Young, and Wesley Young, Jr.
