William "Bill" Curtis Burrows
Garden City- William "Bill" Curtis Burrows, 82, passed away peacefully with family at his side at Hospice Savannah on July 23, 2017.
He was born in Cowlington, OK on Sep 29, 1934. Bill was a United States Air Force Veteran of 20 years, serving as a Medical Technician on C-9's, HH-43's, HU-16's and many other aircraft stationed all over the World. After his Air Force retirement, he worked 23 years as a Garden City Ga Police officer retiring as Lieutenant. He worked many years after that as a "Blue Coat" in the Chatham County Courthouses.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lillian Josephine (Jo) Cannon Burrows; a daughter, Vicki Burrows Dunn (Matt); a son, Ricky Burrows (Daphne); several brothers and sisters, Jewel Williams, Bertie Gray, Beverly McFarlin (Ace), Robert Burrows (Marilyn), and Alfred Burrows; sisters-in-law, Berta Cannon Miller (Charles), Sybil Mixon Cannon; 6 Grandchildren; 10 Great- Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: a son, Ronald Lee Burrows; parents, Rufus and Nellie Burrows; brothers, Leon Burrows (Hazel), Billy Joe Burrows, James Thomas Burrows; and sister, Carol Ann Burrows.
