William W. Cochran
Rincon – William W. Cochran, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Hospice Savannah.
The Effingham County native was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Rincon where he was a Deacon and member of the Brotherhood Sunday School Class. He formerly served in the Marine Rescue Squadron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Private 1st Class Harry T. Cochran and Erma Shaw.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Morgan Cochran of Rincon; daughters, Connie Runion of Lakeland, FL and Caroline (Douglas) James of Brooklet; grandchildren, Dawn Cole, Charles James, Tucker Saylor, and Makayla James; sister, Mable (Gregg) Bacon of Land of Lakes, FL; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Bam Bam.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Rincon.
Interment will follow in Turkey Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
