Meldrim- William Daniel Mastin, 57, died on August 11, 2008 at Candler Hospital.
The Chatham County native was a member of Life Springs Church. He was retired from Georgia Ports Authority and was a former Pooler police officer. He also was a US Army Vietnam veteran, having served 8 years. Dan was fun loving and had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Patsy Mastin of Meldrim; two daughters, Shannon Burns of Meldrim and Ashley Stewart of Guyton; his grand dog, Dixie; an aunt and several uncles; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Ennis Cemetery on Pine Barren Road.
