Pooler-Mr. William "Junie" Elba Hurt, Jr., 75, passed away on Thursay, August 18, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Hurt was born in Louisville, Mississippi to the late William Elba Hurt, Sr. and Louise Hurt. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bubba Hurt. He was a commercial fisherman and enjoyed shrimping and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Hurt; children, Teri & Tony Bennett, Cheri Hurt, Lisa & Michael Stone and Michael & Mychelle Hurt; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Sherengo, Dottie DeRouen and Linda Barrow; brother, Charles Hurt and a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the funeral home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2011 in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Johnny Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
