Bloomingdale-Mr. William Henry Iler, born September 28, 1913 in Bulloch County
passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2008. He was preceded in death by his beloved
wife of 67 years, Annie Lee Des Noyers Iler; his parents, Miram and Sylvester Iler; four
sisters, Audrey Smith, Elminy NeSmith, Louella Davis and Dorothy Newton; five
brothers, Frank, Emory, Bennie, O'Dell and Jimmy. After moving from Bulloch County
to Savannah, Pooler and the family finally settled in Bloomingdale, where he resided for
more than 75 years. He was a faithful member of the Alpha United Methodist Church
and served on various committees. He was a member and Past Master of the Richard T.
Turner Masonic Lodge #116. He retired from Pierpoint-Corbett Box Company in 1974.

Mr. Bill H. was a fun loving, kind man, who enjoyed telling his stories to anyone who
would listen. He loved fishing and spent many days in a boat with a pole or rod and reel.

Survivors include one daughter, Willene Iler Stone; grandson, Scott Holden Stone;
brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty Iler; brother-in-law, Harold Des Noyers and
many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Alpha United Methodist Church
conducted by Rev. Loran Smith and Rev. Anna Juran-Kelly. He will lie in state for one
hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Douglas Cemetery in Bloomingdale
following the service with full Masonic Rites.
