Ellabell-William Michael (Mike) Mewborn, 50, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, March 16, 2013.
Born in Savannah, GA, Mike was the son of William (Bill) Mewborn and the late Carolyn A. Mewborn. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
Mike is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa Marie Mewborn; daughter, Haley Marie Mewborn; father, William (Bill) Mewborn; sister, Michelle Mewborn Koncul (Vincent) and Victoria and Nicholas; sister, Lori Mewborn Thompson (David) and Gabrielle and Noah; in addition, he is survived by an uncle, James Courtney Mewborn (Rosemary) of Titusville, FL; aunt, Laura (Bet) Morris of Little Rock, AR; many close cousins, including Audrey Mewborn Balmer and Teri Organ Love, as well as his best friend Bingo (dog).
Mike was a member of the IBEW Local 508 and a member of Gateway Community Church in Pooler.
The visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday followed by the memorial service at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler.
