William Pierce "Bill" Jordan, Jr.
Rincon –William Pierce "Bill" Jordan, Jr., passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011.
The Toombs County native was born on August 19, 1936, to the late William P. Jordan, Sr. and Donnie Belle Jordan. He resided in Chatham County for many years before moving to Effingham County in 1992. He retired from Kemira. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but nothing brought him more joy than being with his family and friends. He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church. He was also a member of Frank F. Baker Masonic Lodge #46 and Clyo Hunting Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Johnnie Jordan; two sons, Buddy (Janet) and Michael (Darlene); two grandchildren, William and Janna-Leigh Jordan; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Patsy (Herman) Parker; two brother-in-laws, David and Jerry Sanford; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will be at Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to Jerusalem Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2966 Ebenezer Road, Rincon, GA 31326.
