Guyton – William Edward Powell, Jr., 61, passed away September 19, 2022 at East Georgia Regional Hospital.

The Chatham County native was a retired mechanic from Weyerhauser. He was really hardworking, trustworthy, loyal, and dependable. The private person loved cutting grass, woodcrafting, watching football, and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Powell; father, William E. Powell, Sr.; sister, Jennifer Ann Powell; and longtime friend, Linda Proctor.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Heath; brothers & sisters, Larry Powell, Joyce Pharo (Ed), Charles Powell (Amy), Cherie Heath, Suzanne Redmond (Ronnie), Sandra Heath, and Louie Heath; step-mother, Cheryl Powell; special nieces/nephews, Cheryl Craun, Jesse Powell, Brittany Wilson, and Will Powell; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation:  10 am – 12 noon Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
