William Roy Hodges
Rincon – William Roy Hodges, 80, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Hospice of Savannah.
The Screven County native was a member of New Hope Christian Church and a retired car salesman in Savannah. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he received the Korean Service Medal, 3 Bronze Stars, and a United Nations Service Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy Graham Hodges and Lizzie Pauline Stafford Hodges; and brothers, Edward Lee Hodges and Harry James Hodges.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Davis Hodges; children, Cheryl Ann Hodges of Shalimar, FL, Tammy Fay Rowe of Orlando, FL, and William Robert Hodges of Brunswick; step-son, Daniel Lee Davis of Rincon; sisters, Lollie Mae Anderson of Rincon, Dorothy and husband John Clanton of Lake George, and Elizabeth Wilson of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Jordan Marr, Sara Rowe, Alex Rowe, Roberta Marr, and Brooke Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Rincon Cemetery.
