Pembroke-Mr. William "Derrick" Sikes passed away on February 15, 2014 at Candler Hospital after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a member of Emmanuel Community Church in Lanier, GA. He enjoyed piddling in his yard and garage, and enjoyed NASCAR racing. He was predeceased by his parents, Tom L. and Vivian Sikes, and a brother, Theron Sikes.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; four daughters, Tammy Tyler, Tina Hobbs (Tony), Pam Young (Richard) and Carla Padgett (Bobby); brother Tommie Sikes (Lucy); sisters, Jackie Arnett (George) and Frieda Quick (Glenn); 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and his four legged companion, Jada.
The visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with the memorial service to follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Mitch Lynn officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances be made to Emmanuel Community Church Building Fund, 141 Little Creek Road, Pembroke, GA 31321.
