William O. Sikes, Jr.

Mr. William O. Sikes, Jr., aka known as “Bill” or “Bo”, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

He will be missed by his son, David Sikes, his brother, Donald “Sam” Sikes, and a multitude of friends and fellow Bulldogs.

He was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by his parents, William O. Sikes, Sr. and Ila Williams Sikes, as well as all of his aunts and uncles. He was employed by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department for 14 years and retired from Gulfstream after 30 years of service. He was a rabid GA Bulldog fan, Go Dawgs !

The visitation will be on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Mr. Sikes’ life will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
