William "Billy" West, age 71, of Bloomingdale, passed away November 16, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar West, Sr. and Edna Christie West; his son, William S. West, Jr. "Little Billy" and his brothers, Edgar West, Jr. and Robert West.  A Pooler native, Billy was a lifetime member and former Chief Union Steward for IAM – Local 650, and was known to his coworkers as "Goatface".  He is survived by his wife of over 37 years, Linda West; son, Edgar M. West and wife, Angel, all of Bloomingdale; daughter, Melissa Jones, of Savannah; grandchildren, Shawn Edgar West, Shelby Lynn West, Brian Andrew Sheppard; sister-in-law, Pam West; several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends Tuesday 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM immediately following in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
