Savannah-Mr. William H. Owens, 88, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Hospice Savannah.
W.H. was born in Bryan County to the late Rufus & Ida Owens. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ricky Dean Owens. He drove a produce truck and loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Nancy Lavone Owens; daughter and son-in-law, Debra Olding and her husband, Gerald; grandchildren, Christopher Olding and his wife, Alisha, Nancy Olding Reyes and her husband, Gene, Tammy Rudd and her husband, John; great-grandchildren, Devon Olding, Zachary Reyes, Christopher Olding, Natalya Rudd, Emily Olding, Brianna Reyes, and Tobias Rudd; sisters, Mildred Benton, and Doris Floyd, and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler.
The graveside funeral and burial will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at Northside Cemetery located in Pembroke.
