Mr. Willie James "Bill" Archer
Pooler-Mr. Willie James "Bill" Archer, 67, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at St.
Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Archer was born in Sparta and had lived in Pooler for a number of years. He was a
member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Pipemakers Hunting Club for thirty
years. He was employed with Kem Distributors for twenty-five years and United
Distributors for five years. He loved the outdoors, cooking and spending time with
family and friends. A humble man, his generosity and gentle spirit will continue to serve
as an example to those who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Aliene Newman Archer of Pooler; daughter and son-in-law,
Alicia & Keith Williams of Springfield; two sons, Dana Archer of Clyo and Ronnie
Archer of Pooler; grandchildren, Brian, Adam and Brooklyn Williams and Cyndi Shae
Archer and Emily Archer; sister and brother-in-law, Lunelle & Robert Winters of
Pembroke; brother and sister-in-law, Tony & Paula Archer of Oxford, NC and several
nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Gravel Hill Cemetery.
