Rincon – Willie C. Garvin, Jr., 85, passed away January 9, 2023 at his home.

The Effingham County native was retired from International Paper, and also from truck driving. He also loved fishing, gardening, and being with his family. Willie loved working on projects and fixing things. He loved the Lord and was a member of Rincon Baptist Temple.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Garvin; daughter, Charlene A. Andrews (Stephen); grandsons, Pierce and Logan; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in the funeral home.

Graveside service: 10 am Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
