Rincon – Willie George Morgan, 87, passed away January 12, 2025 under the care of Compassus Hospice at Memorial Health.
The Effingham County native was retired from Union Camp after 41 years of service and a member of the First Baptist Church of Rincon and the Brotherhood Sunday School Class.Willie George had served 4 years in the Air National Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Morgan; his father, Willie Morgan; his mother, Nora Lee Pitts; his step-father, Robbie Pitts; and his brother, Clarence Morgan.
Survivors include his sons, Neil Morgan (Renee) and Gary Alan Morgan (Betsy); grandchildren, Monica Black (Sean), Hailey Wynn (Kaleb), Bryan Morgan, Emily Hagar, Kelly Fox (Eric), and Erin Cutright; great-grandchildren, Ansleigh Black, Charlee Kate Black, Carter Wynn, Graham Wynn, Hudson Wynn, Hayes Wynn, Caleb Fox, Isaiah Fox, Elijah Fox, and Hannah Fox; brother, Russell Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10-11 am Thursday, January 16, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Rincon.
Funeral: 11 am Thursday, January 16, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Rincon.
Private burial will be at Rincon Cemetery.
