West Chatham Chapel

Garden City-Mr. Willis E. Jernigan, 57,went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday,
August 11, 2009 at his home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mr. Jernigan was born in Ware Shoals, SC and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He
was a member of Bible Baptist Church and had been previously been employed with
Wydmere Apartments. Mr. Jernigan loved birds and enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his parents, W.M. & Mae Jernigan; sister, Phyllis Glover; two
daughters, Amy Hires of Savannah and Lindsey Jernigan of Lyons; granddaughter, Erica
Crews and two nephews, Scott (Amanda) Glover and Bryan (Claudia) Glover.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Herbert
Hubbard officiating and assisted by Pastor Thomas East. Burial will follow at Lower
Lotts Creek Cemetery in Bulloch County.
