Mr. Willis David Taylor, 78, of Ellabell, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Dublin VA Medical Center.
Mr. Taylor was born in Fitzgerald, GA and raised in Collins, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank C. Taylor, mother, Thelma L. Ross, brother, Frank D. Taylor, and step-father, William Ross. He was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church and attended Powers Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and also retired from Civil Service/Post Engineers at Hunter Army Airfield after 25 years of service. Over the years his favorite pastime was fishing.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Patricia Taylor; son and daughter-in-law, David D. & Amanda L. Taylor; daughter and son-in-law, Challise & Tommy Bryan; six grandchildren, Thomas L., Marissa and Rebecca Taylor, Eric, Katharine and Adam Bryan; brother and sister-in-law, William & Jimmi Taylor.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Powers Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
