Wilson Everett Roberts, III, 75, of Pooler, Georgia, died on Friday, April 29, 2022 at his home under Hospice care. He fought the good fight of Parkinson's Disease since being diagnosed in 2017. He kept his faith with the Lord. Wilson was born in Savannah, Georgia on October 7, 1946. He attended Jenkins High School in Savannah, Georgia as well as Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. Wilson was self-employed as a Professional Building Designer for residential homes and has designed thousands of homes in Savannah and surrounding areas over many years. He would sit and talk for hours to anyone who came in the office and loved all of his clients and contractors as if they were family. He was a founder and charter member of the Pooler Rotary Club. Wilson also served on the Pooler Planning and Zoning Board since 1976 where he served as chairman for 9 years. Wilson gave his life to many hours of volunteer work and was always ready to reach out a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved everyone he met and always had a smile on his face. He had many hobbies over the years including racing, ham operator, model airplanes, fishing, cooking, and many more. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Everett Roberts, Jr. (Reba), and mother, Christine Wingard Roberts. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cherrie Bazemore Roberts; his daughter, Pollyanna R. Giles (Brian); granddaughters, Ashley Giles and Paige Giles; his son, Kevin T. Roberts (Catherine); grandsons, Avery Roberts and Logan Roberts; sister, Virginia Bruce (Sam); brother, Rodger Roberts (Lisa); step-sisters, Jane Jackson and Joann Rentz. A private graveside service will be held at a later date, however we ask family and friends to please sign the obituary guest book and offer any memories and/or pictures. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to Middleground Baptist Church, Sylvania, Georgia. We would like to offer a special thanks to our Hospice Savannah care team. Thomas C.
